In the beginning

So, one afternoon in late May 2009, Stacie and I decided it was time to get a puppy. The reasons are both innumerable and forgotten, so what's important is that we did decide, not why we decided. We got in touch with a breeder recommended by a friend who owns a Maltese: Kim Lemaire from Laptop Maltese.

Kim brought us four puppies and the parents (Bunny, the father, and Molly, the mother). The puppies names (at that time) were Camilla and Violet (the females) and Baxter and Cody (the males). There are few things as cute as four maltese puppies, so it was hard to decide. But, we narrowed it down to two (Camilla and Baxter), who returned the next week. After the Maltese finals, we decided on Camilla, who was quickly renamed "Izzi".

And, then, we waited for her.

She was the runt of the litter, so Kim suggested we wait a bit longer than usual, and we wanted to get her in our home when I was travelling less, so I could take her into my office.

Now, she's here and she has her own blog.

I'll sign off, but she'll take over. She may be little, but she's an amazing typist.

Take it away, girl!
