This Electronic World

There are many little electronic things in our house. And, usually, we're not allowed to use them. In fact, the closest that we can come to operating them properly is when Izzi uses her paw on the computer screen that our butler is using to try to remind him that it's time for a bedtime snack, and again when it's time for her to have a sip of water before she retires for the night. Rozi sometimes likes to press the buttons on the thing that controls our television, and half the time it's because she thinks the people on the television are not very smart; the other half of the time it's because she stepped on it by accident.

But, this doesn't mean that we don't like having these things around. In fact, there are some aspects to it that we find to be both pleasant and comforting. For example, the heater that is in the bedroom that we share with our mama has a little box that you press that makes a beep noise. We like when we hear the beep because it means that we will be all comfy and cozy when we try to fall asleep. This morning was a very lazy morning for us and we were not sure if we wanted to keep the heat on and blowing on us or if we wanted it off. And, so we decided that we'd just leave the heater on and put the little box between us as we napped, and that if either of us got too warm. we could walk on it until we heard the beep and that would be that. Of course, since doing something like that would have meant that we'd have to move before we wanted to, the button was never pressed and the nap, which lasted from just after we got up until late morning, was good and uninterrupted.

The other thing that we like to do is to look at pictures of ourselves on that square that is full of colors. This morning, Rozi was perusing some of  the more recent photos of us just after waking up, and even though she was enjoying reminiscing by herself, she found herself getting drowsy. In fact, she ended up falling asleep while looking at a picture of herself!

Lie Imitates Art
But, still, we do like having all the conveniences of the modern world at the fingertips of our mama and whomever else happens to be around. Still, we're waiting for the day (which we hope is not too far away) when all we have to do is think of what we want to eat and it appears. Ahhh.
